My first graphic design piece was an enamel pin that resembled a birch tree grove, with each tree being one of the colors of the progressive pride flag. This design was the perfect representation of pride, both in terms of the LGBTQ+ community and pride for New Hampshire.
I wanted to create something that was unique, meaningful, and represented both my personal identity and my love for my new home of New Hampshire. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I wanted to create something that celebrated pride and diversity.
The response to my first graphic design piece was overwhelmingly positive. People loved the unique combination of a natural element like a birch tree grove with the vibrant colors of the pride flag. It was a perfect representation of the LGBTQ+ community and pride for New Hampshire.
